Testimonials

Lois Frankel, international author

‘Bev Ryan is a diplomatic dynamo. From the moment she courageously snared me at an event on the Gold Coast in 2008 for an unscheduled interview for her magazine Honestly Woman to inviting me to be a part of the book ‘Women on Top – against the Odds‘ which she edited and project managed in 2011, I have found Bev to be an unusual combination of delightful and driven.

I was also thrilled to be their Guest Speaker at the Brisbane launch of ‘Women on Top’ - a wonderful night that Bev brought together for the authors of the book. I have enjoyed every interaction with her and look forward to more.  She truly knows how to develop and maintain mutually rewarding and beneficial relationships.’

Bev Brough

‘I was about to embark on my own first book in early 2011 and I didn’t really know where to start: I had a concept and a few rough-hewn chapters, that was all.

Trusted friend and global networking and publishing expert, Robyn Henderson, recommended I contact book coach and publishing consultant, Bev Ryan, for assistance and guidance, as Robyn knew her to be someone who is professional, easy to work with and understanding of my target market – dynamic women over 50 years of age.’

‘Thank you for yesterday’s meeting Bev.  Terri and I are so passionate about our book Women on Top and after experiencing such let down last year with the lack of professionalism from the “Nameless” publishing company we are truly heartened and super super impressed with the way you are managing our dream.  We also love that you have as much passion about the project as us.

You are one in a million Bev. Watch this space.   www.womenontop.com.au

‘I would recommend Bev Ryan to anyone who is considering publishing their own book.  As a contributing author to ‘Women on Top’, launched in June 2011, I have had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand Bev’s ability to project manage the book (and contributors) from concept to launch and all the steps in between. She is a one-stop shop of experience and professionalism  in editing, design, layout, website and social media support, as well as event management. On top of that she is an  all-round nice person.’

Thought I’d let you know that we’re connecting with Joanna (Penn) to have her present at the HGA Talks on March 17 at the BCEC.  Also Doug, my husband, has just had Jeannie Barker (www.jeanniebarker.com) set up his wordpress site. Both happened because I met them through the WPN network.

Thank you for all that you do.

Lana Mitchell

I met Bev as the editor of Honestly Woman, and although we have not met face-to-face I feel we are good friends.

Bev was holding a workshop on ‘How to Write Press Releases’ on the NSW coast, some three-hour drive from where I live. I had paid to attend, however when the time came I had a toddler who was ill. I called to say I could not come and was hoping there was some other workshop or way I could gain the information. Bev surprised me and offered to work with me over the phone, providing me with all the workshop materials by email and then working over the whole subject with me in a one-on-one consultation. She was not only friendly, helpful and providing far more than I had anticipated or even paid for, but she then followed up and reviewed press releases I had written, giving me critiques on them so I could learn more.

These press releases were very successful in gaining me massive exposure for my business, and opened doors for me that really boosted my business. I have gone from strength to strength since then.

Over later months I worked with Bev on some other projects and each time I found her professionalism inspiring and her attitude very positive. She was able to guide me with properly addressing criteria in my application for the 2010 Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation (RIRDC) Rural Women’s Award, which I went on to win in my home state of NSW.

This has allowed me to do the Australian Company Director’s Foundation course, as well as training on how to do high impact presentations and how to handle media. It has also linked me up with some amazing women, and I am now doing regular speaking events for small local groups and larger corporate events and forums. In September I will be going on an award-sponsored study tour of UK and Europe. The whole process and award win has led to enormous opportunities that are benefitting me, my business and the wildflower industry – and of course I am passing on as much as I can to other rural women so they can benefit too.

I recommend Bev as an individual coach/mentor to assist people with micro-business and/or writing goals without hesitation. I know of many who rave about her presentations and find her inspirational and very much a leader.

Melissa McCord

I met Bev through the Qld Rural Women’s Network and then I had the great pleasure of having her edit my comedy column Honey Moon Hill for her fantastic magazine Honestly Woman. Bev has a very rare gift – she is both extremely professional whilst not allowing her position of authority in her role at HW to give her the ‘Devil Wears Prada’ syndrome. I have worked with magazine editors from all over the world – including Tattler, Vogue and Merian – and Bev is a visionary business woman without delusions of grandeur.

Bev has the ability to bring out the best in people – she has another gift and that is listening and making each individual feel that they are of value to the world. Bev was instrumental in helping me launch Honey Moon Hill my comedy column: Bev connects others for mutual benefit and I would happily recommend her as an individual coach or mentor to assist people with micro-business and/or their writing goals, and as a presenter or speaker.
